Visual and performing art of all kinds is featured throughout the
area. Many locations have scheduled art shows and music, but visual
and performing artists of all types have other opportunities as
well. Pre-registration is required within all barricaded areas. You
may pre-register by emailing your full name, address, phone number,
medium and desired month of participation (three weeks in advance).
Visual artists please include 3-5 jpegs of your work. You will be
contacted only if you have been accepted to participate due to the
number of requests received each month.
Most of the space available for artists is outdoors, therefore your art must be adaptable or appropriate for outdoor display/performing. For example, there is no electricity available, so if you are a musician, you must be able to play acoustically (pre-registration required, 21 days prior to event). If you wish to display work, then you must bring whatever you need to properly display your work (tables, chairs, easels, etc). We provide as much lighting as we are able. Essentially this is a "street festival" type atmosphere, so the more "street" oriented your work is the better.
Due to city business and licensing requirements, we need all requests to paricipate at least 21 days in advance of the event, email info@firstfriday-lasvegas.org with full name, address, phone # and medium (in email please include at least 3-5 examples, jpegs, of the work you want to display). All work is juried. There are some other locations that host outdoor artists, to find these locations go to the map page on this website, each location has contact information listed. FIRST FRIDAY is an entirely not for profit venture, so it is, consequently, a non-paying gig.
So I would like to participate, what
